Ac genator is a device which is used toprodceelectricity by the magnetic effect of electricity.It has four important parts they are armature coil,field magnets,graphite brush and slipring commutator

.They are arranged in a pattern that armature coil rotates between two field magnets.When they are ratated the magnetic flux will cut and an emf will be induced.This emf is collected using arrangement called slip ring commutator.from this we got +ve and -ve charges alternatively.it is because of the the cutting of magnetic flux
